hazmat Hunt the north side some good canyons with some better bucks. That unit has went down the last few years.

Xbow123 I was definitely wrong on that boundary. Been a while since I’ve hunted the unit.

FreshfromFlorida Hmm. I know a spot exactly like you describe. I sort of wrote it off because I didn't think deer would get out on that open chute. Maybe that basin deserves another couple sits.

JuddCT I LOVE watching avalanche chutes early and late on the north side of a tall peak this time of year. Especially with a nearby seep of water and dark pines on the edges.

FreshfromFlorida Thanks critter I'll do my best to get up high as early as possible. I figured it was pretty early in the year to totally bail on an area. I'll keep working on it there's still time to get some found

Critter I would get up into the higher meadows before daylight and then watch them. Or get into a location where I could watch several locations and get the binoculars and/or the spotter out and start looking.

The animals don't like the heat or bugs anymore than us humans and will get out of it if they can.

Personally I don't like scouting for deer until after July 4

taxidermist Bald Mt. is in the Wasatch West unit. Everything on the south side of the sheep creek road, and Indian creek road to the East is the East unit.

Buckfinder I hunted the muzzle loader last year and saw very few deer compared to previous years. I think it winter killed pretty bad two years ago. Itís a big unit and there are nice bucks in there just not as many as years past.

pollo70 It's too hot! the Bucks are holding up in the Pines and Quakies.
