Not going to share the honey hole, unfortunately, but we were out North of the reservoir, we found them near water, but after we spooked that heard on day one, day two was infinitely quieter than the 2nd. There is an ATV road that runs off Red Creek Mtn road down towards currant creek reservoir, and we were around that area where we saw the most. Not sure how that will change between now and then, but the extended forecast looks to be dry for the next week or two. Hope that helps!

    Congrats on the cow.
If you don't mind me asking where you found the elk? My dad has a cow tag that starts the weekend before thanksgiving. Any help you offer would be apreciated. We are torn on where to start looking. Either towards winter grounds or if they are still high with the warmer dryer weather we have been having.
    Thanks
