However he will still be considered a non resident as far as the draws are concerned since he has to be a resident to get into the resident draw and purchase a tag at resident prices. This all happens the end of May/ first of June so he may be pushing the 6 month requirement. So unless he has a residency here right now he will be considered a non resident.

Oh yea that’s true. I remember now from the Turkey draw last year. I would have had residency by the time season came around but I didn’t when the draw happened so I couldn’t put in for it. My mistake.

Oh bummer on the residency. I was thinking maybe just a public land hunt on a OTC tag or general tag.

You'll have small game and birds on your license that you purchase for the drawings if you want to just put in for bonus points. Being classified as a non resident for the drawings you can put in for all the animals at $10 a application where a resident can only put in for a couple.

You'll also have the general spike or any bull hunt that are OTC with a cap and then there are the OTC elk archery tags.
