Default This years bull

Got it done on the elk hunt this year. Had a bull fall on the end of my 300 RUM at 68 yards. Only bull I saw. It was a tough, hot hunt this year!

Great Job!!! I assume any bull unit--Freakin sweet!

Buddy of mine has a 300 RUM, I called in a raghorn for him back in 2012--knocked the heck outa that bull! Practically lifted it off the ground! Heck of a cartridge! Use a garden shovel when measuring powder for that round!

Lol! Yeah the 300 RUM was a bit much at that range but, I opted for the Low neck shot so that I wouldn’t ruin any meat. Turned out to be a well placed shot and took out his wind pipe and jugular vein. He went down in a pile. And the good thing is he bled out so well that the meat cutting experience was excellent! My buddies bull on the other hand.....the lung shot was a mess and it bled internally. He was swimming in it when he did the quarter and loose meat job LOL!
