Nice work. So where did she end up hitting them? Dead is dead, that's great! And hauling deer is a chore- especially up those draws with the scrub maple and brush. But it's a good chore for the kiddo. That will be some great meat.

Utah bigbull is sooooo right about time passing by to soon!! My Dad and Brothers have passed on and I seem to find myself in the woods alone now.

I still get it done but with a cost. I feel the rigors of the hunt more and have set new limits as to where and what I'll hike into.

Those are such great pics and memories for ever! I can hear the story she be telling around the campfire now of how she shot two deer and not just one!

Congrats! and High Fives for your Daughter.

Nah, maybe in 7 years or so. 😁 I on the other hand had several in her honor.

Awesome job Jake! I am hoping my son can get his buck on the general opener next weekend. Hoping a nice, tender SPIKE walks out so he can whack him and not break both our backs hauling him out. 🙂 I am encouraged by your reports as we both hunt the same general area.

We really need to hunt together more, so I can teach you how to quarter or gutless those things!! I can't imagine trying to haul a gutted deer through the oak brush jungle...that just seems like cruel and unusual punishment!! Glad you got it done with her though. That is quality father / daughter time that will pay back in spades as she gets older!!

Let me know when you start hitting the late season cow tags.
