My prediction is that the general any bull tags sell out within 2 weeks this year. Second prediction is that within the next 5 years they are going to sell out sooner and sooner and the DWR is going to to eventually move them in to a draw. We will then have the privilege of buying general elk points as well as LE elk points same as deer. In ten years it's going to take a point to draw general any bull elk and you will get to hunt every other year and in 20 years it will be every three years.

This is an eventuality but I think the multi season permits sped up this progression by maybe 5 years or so.

I can see this happening. More $$$ as well for the DWR with app fees and point purchases.

On the wildlife report on KSUB the DWR guy stated that all elk permits will be sold on line this year.

COVID and all the news associated with it, is going to have a lot more people humping the hills for a chance at meat in the freezer, combined with the need to just GTFO of the house. I do not claim exception, I'm just saying a lot of people are going to have the same idea. Ive also noticed a lot of hunting gear is selling out online.

Too many people moving to Utah. The "Californication" of Utah has been ongoing for at least the last 4 years or so. So I can I see this happening as well. As a brother in law told me last year or so, "The days of good hunting in Utah are about over".

Bought one myself last year. I plan on buying another this year. Guilty as charged. That said, If i fill my tag during archery again this year like I did last year ( i freaking doubt it though), then I will never buy a multi season tag again.

You figure they do it on line and apply the extra $10 fee and they are making that extra $$$$ instead of doing it over the counter like in the pass I spoke with the South Ogden office they said it was because of the Covid 19 pandemic that's why they were doing it on line.

If they do it like most states there is no application fee if you purchase it online, only the tag fee.

It has been so long since I purchased a fishing or combination license in Utah (LL here) but you don't have to pay a application fee if you purchase either of those on line do you?
