Default First Timer on North Slope

Hey Y'all, this year I finally decided to try my hand at hunting big game. I've hunted small game and I come from a family of fishermen, but August will be my first time with a buck tag. I drew out a general season archery buck tag in the North Slope unit and my buddy (former Idaho Elk Guide) and i are going to try to grab the accompanying over the counter elk tag. Unfortunately i am out of state working for the summer till a few days before the season opener August 11th. I have OnX maps and google earth and I'm E-Scouting through the unit as well as i can. I'm wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on things to look for as i scout virtually?
Thanks!

No disrespect intended towards the original poster, but I suspect there's going to be a lot of that this year.

Also no disrespect to the OP, but I think there will be a lot of one and done hunters that come from this too. Not as easy as it looks on the internet haha
