I just noticed that the online hunt planner now has a "restricted area" overlay, which shows the areas you cannot use a firearm to hunt. I knew in Emigration township that you could only bowhunt, but I thought the boundary for that area was smaller than what the hunt planner boundary shows. I've seen a map online that is a couple years old that shows the firearm boundaries being a bit smaller.

Does anyone know for certain if the no firearm boundary is now larger and the hunt planner is 100% correct? I'm thinking I may have to call.

I attached the older map I speak of. In the hunt planner, the yellow portion is also shown as no firearms.

In a township community council newsletter from 2010 when it became official, it says " Rife and muzzle loaders will not be allowed to hunt ridge line to ridge line in Emigration Township, with the excep-
tion of a very small, remote area at the top of the Township that adjoins public lands. "

I haven't seen any updated information other than what it shows on the hunt planner.

Boundary is basically the ridgeline to the East of Pinecrest. If you are inside the Lookout Mountain drainage to the east of Pinecrest, you are good for rifles.
