Default Has anyone else had charges removed?

I was all excited to awaken to an $80 hit on my card. I announced to my kids, "Either you two drew deer tags or I drew the Book Cliffs".

Now I woke up this morning to check and the charge is gone and my money back in the account.

What gives? 😥

Has anyone had this happen before?

Sounds like you drew the "SIKE" tag. That's like tossing a kids ice-cream cone on the hot asphalt.

You may want to see if your bank or CC blocked the transaction. That is similar to what mine did as well, Had a $800 hit and then a $800 refund appear in my pending charges because of possible fraud detection.

Were you able to get it straightened out?

No. I called, but I was told I had to wait until the official email comes out and then they could take payment. She said you have until June 6th to pay for the permit.

This.

You can't do anything until you have officially drawn. A card hit isn't anything formal (of course it implies).

I just got off the phone with the bank. They said that the merchant released the hold on the transaction but that it is still pending on the bank's end even though I don't see it on my end because the hold was released by the UDWR.

Very strange. I have never had this happen before. The lady from the bank told me to keep checking to make sure it goes through. I'm sweating! 😅
