Breaking in some new air rifles.

Postby Rusty Shacklford » Mar 13, '10, 7:46

Well I was able to shoot a few more Starlings today. In addition to some of my more expensive air rifles I recently picked up a little Daisy Power Line 922. As a kid I had the 880 Power Line in .177 caliber and I always wanted the more powerful .22 caliber. So when I saw one for sale in the classifieds the other day I just had to have the air rifle that I never had in my childhood. It seems terribly slow compared to the 800 to 900 fps guns I’m use to shooting but as you can see it does a great job for close in Starling work. The big Eurasian Collared Dove was shot with my B28 in .22 caliber. A truly amazing gun for the price, it’s a Chinese clone of the RWS 350 magnum. Since I own the RWS 350 I can tell you it is a great copy of the original and it’s about 1/3 of the price. It shoots 14.3 grain pellets at 800 plus feet per second.

As with the other Starlings I’ve been harvesting they will go in the freezer until the next time I run into blueshooter. I think I may have him mount the big ECD for me. I know I’m not the only guy out there shooting non protected winged vermin so I say again, let’s see some more pictures form others out there.
