What have I gotten myself into now

I have always had a facination with beekeeping, and now I have 3 lbs of bees and a queen scheduled for delivery on Apr 24. I have all the gear, veil/suit, gloves, tool, smoker, etc., I just need to get the hive now. I am pretty excited, and a little nervous taking on a new hobby. I wonder, are there any other forum members into beekeeping? It's not something that you hear of many folks doing anymore.
If guns cause crime then all of mine are defective.

What about the extractor?

Also you will need some skunk traps, lots of skunks in Utah and they love to sit infront of the hive and eat the bees.
Don't interfere with somethin' that aint botherin' ya none.

Its still better than a lousy pet spider. I'd be dancing around like a little girl if I found 3 lbs of spiders!
