'berry 'bows

Hit the berry again yesterday with a friend and did great. We got on the res at about 6:00 and had an awsome sky view to watch as the sun came over the hill. We had our limit of fatty bows by 10:30. We left at 11 and Total we landed 17 fish and only two of wich were cutts. One at the 20 inch mark and a monster at the 8 in. mark. The bows we kept were between 16 and 18 inches and very healthy. The rainbows they planted two years ago are doing great and putting on size fast. Ice conditions were still pretty good. With 6 inches of snow on about 20 inches of slush ice combo. Solid surface though. We fished a weed line in 12 feet of water and got some nice fish for the smoker. With a little luck there is still a few weeks of good ice fishin at the 'berry! FISH ON!

I should have sucked it up an gone with you yesterday, but since I didn't I went up there today since DC hasn't treated me well the last couple times. Went by myself, to bad you had to work. I pulled 7 out by 9am and after that the action had stopped. At least I did better then last time. 4 were Cutts and 3 decent Rainbows. Funny I caught all the rainbows on one bait combo and the Cutts on a jig and worm, guess each style wanted something different.

Let me know when your going again. I could still make it up and back for work at noon!
almost got to that 22 inch mark

You do know the proper way to measure a fish is to squeeze the tail together, right? It would have given you at least the 1\4" if not more.

The have a half page dedicated on how to measure a fish in the 2010 fishing guidebook.

yeah I know how to measure a fish I have seen that in the guide book, but I need 3 hands to do that while taking the picture and I didn't, still wasn't big enough.
