DC 1-30-09Well got an early start to the day and I was suprised as to just how many people were already in the parking lot. Headed out in dark and the fog to the spot we wanted to fish and got set up. It started out slow and picked up as the day went on. Once the sun came out we put the tent up and started moving around didn't take long to figure out where the fish were at. Landed 7 rainbows and around 60 perch between two of us. All in all it was a great day for the perch. WIth the trout fishing would have been a little better.

Re: DC 1-30-09At what depths and location did you fish to catch the perch? I would rather catch perch than trout. Its hard to find the perch in Deer Creek.

Re: DC 1-30-09The perch were between 45-50 feet and they were right on the bottom most of the time. If you were more then 3 inches from the bottom often they would not bite. They really wanted right close. We found if you were no more then 2 inches of the bottom the action was fast.

Re: DC 1-30-09What part of the lake were you fishing at? Sounds like you guys had a great day!
Re: DC 1-30-09We park at rainbow bay. But that is not where we fish.
