All the phone calls, driving, and scouting finally paid off today. I snuck up on about 1,000 to within about 20 yards. Shot 3 times and killed these 7(yes i picked a group off to the side and didn't shoot at any i didn't kill). I think 2 of them are Ross and the other 5 are snows. The person who let me shoot them was very happy to get them off his fields. There were more today than i have ever seen at 1 time. 8)

Right on Brody.

Just got a call from a friend who spent the day at Salt Creek. Up until about an hour ago he had not seen any snows. He just called and said there must be 20,000 out there now! Too bad it's almost over. :|

That's what you call a dollar short and a day late.

Kind cool to see you sneak and get them. I had a buddy of mine along with another guy did that when we hunted snows in Colorado a few years ago. They shot 36 snows in 6 shots. Amazing how close you can sneak up to them at times.

Congrats to you!

This might be a dumb question, but how do snow geese cause agriculture damage? I would assume farmers in Utah haven't planted before now(first part of march). Maybe Im wrong.

Dont get me wrong, Im fine with hunting them, just curious as to why they are a nusaince to the farmers.
