Whos been to the Berry lately?

A bunch of us are going to be ice fishing it tomorrow. Wondering how the slush is on the strawberry side out from the marina? Also any fishing reports would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Well it wasn't bad the other day in the morning........ Think I might be hitting it again tomorrow too with my dad, and my wife..... finally getting her back out there.. Hope she lasts longer then an hour!

SLOW!!! Sorry to those that joined me. It was really slow for us. Anyone else out there do any good? I have never fished it this late. Lots of slush... 15 fish between 8 of us.

I didn't make it this morning, but am talking with Cantnotfish right now about tomorrow and this SNOW. How was the weather up there today, wind... snow??

We left around 12:00. So nice from sun up to 1015. Then the storm rolled in and it was pretty bad...

Between work, family matters, and a couple of trips on days off to the Capitol to help with a certain issue , I haven't been up there (or elsewhere) much this winter since Jan 1, but I did sneak up there for an afternoon quickie about 10 days ago. The fish were in 28-30 ft. of water, mostly near the bottom, but those suspended were eager biters. Had a decent afternoon for nice slot cutts. Get away from the popular areas and if you have a fishfinder, it helps a lot.

Don't give up on it. The best fishing I had up there on the hard deck last year was from March 15th-April 15th.

How bad was the slush?

Slush was nasty. Got good sleds stuck a few times.

+1 It was a fun day out on the ice, I think the new guy caught 10 of those 15! (it was the pink pole)
