Sir, with 1 point I somehow drew the Book Cliffs, Bitter Creek South Archery LE elk tag this year. I am absolutely stoked and was hoping you might have insight into hunting this unit. Are you available to talk on the phone about your past experiences/recommendations? Please Pm me or text/call 434-284-3637 (again I'm on Japan time, phone is on silent at night so I might not answer, but will call you back after checking state side time to make sure you dont get a 3am call back)

Goofy, I see from some of your posts that you were considering putting in for the Hardscrabble unit for moose at one time. I've been considering putting in for a CWMU for a moose tag because the odds of the standard units are so horrible. I have 10 points which I know isn't enough to get me much of a hope.

Any suggestions from you have learned?

Hey goofy, I've been a long time member, you may or may not have seen me post. I went almost a year with limited posting. But I saw your Boulder post and it made me even more excited than I already was. I have been hunting Boulder since the mid 90's and almost strictly archery deer there since 2000. This year is the first year I will be hunting it with a muzzy. We mostly hunt around the McGath area. I havent been able to get down and scout this year, busy with military stuff. Curious if you have been up around the McGath/Sweetwater area and how the herd is looking there? Also, I know you don't see as many animals on the muzzy hunt as you do on the bow hunt, curious if you have any experience hunting deer with a muzzy on Boulder and what my expectation might be? Any reply would be appreciated, I envy you and all the time you get to spend in the field.

    Regards,

Congrats on finding a nice goat! I too will be hunting the plateau archery antelope. I've never hunted antelope before and wondered your thoughts about using a cow decoy versus an antelope decoy in this area which do you think would work best? Any other suggestions? I will not be hunting until later in the hunt due to my deer and elk tag I'm going after on the east side of the boulders.

Your PM was full so I'm posting this here...Hopefully you still see it! Hey so I saw on a post from 2011 that your boy or someone had the youth elk tag. Well my little bro has it this year and I'm trying to help him find a good area to hunt. I don't hunt elk much (other than putting in for LE...and a spike tag in LE unit) so don't know general season elk. I'm just writing to see if you're willing to help. In your post you mentioned someone turned you onto a real promising area, how did it turn out? Any info to help me get started on finding him an area & some elk would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you :)

And if not no hard feelings, I just could use the help so thought I'd ask.
