Thank you for the input. I am looking for a lake where the kids would have fast action. I used to really enjoy catching fat brookies out of Flat so I might try for that. It's hard to navigate around there with kids though. I never could get any action out of yellow other than a visual confirmation they are there. Maybe lower Barker will work. I have to do a little work in Escalante so we'll head up from there. We went to Kings Pasture 2 years ago this time. They were boiling but didn't want anything we offered bait, lure, or fly.

"The agency said it would revisit that option in five years if the chub population is not reduced or if the new species are unable to thrive."

I had high hopes that the UDWR was going to poison Scofield in 5 years, after the muskies and wipers failed. The wording from this quote leaves me to believe that they will find a way to delay, postpone, reevaluate, and continue down the current path.

Hey PBH. Been around this site for almost 10 years, I have obviously picked up you like to hunt Boulder. I myself have hunted it annually since the mid-90's, with my best friends family (Quilters, know them?) have hunted it for decades. Anyways, I always hunt around Sweetwater, McGath/Dry Lake, down towards Haws Pasture, kind of that circle. I was curious if you knew how the herd was in that area this year? I am active military and its been a busy summer so I haven't scouted it this year. Last year seemed like a down year for that specific area even though herd numbers were up. I also know you are a Boulder fly fishing guru as well. I have fished McGath a few times during the bow hunt, this year I am hunting muzzy and was curious if it fishes better around first week of October? Any good fly pattern suggestions? Thanks in advance
