One thing I did forget to mention is that the WMA does have a good size waterhole on it. It is kind of by a road, but I have seen antelope on it. It also may be hit less during the archery hunt. As for pulling a trailer, there are some good spots. They tend to be used during the hunts, so you may want to get in early.

I really appriciate your help! I will study the maps and road systems you suggested before I submit my application. The info on the wma and walk inareas was something I was wondering about, but I figured they would be about like you said. Is there decent areas that I could pull my trailer and camp?

I have also used a decoy on an archery hunt out there with limited success. It seemed that it was just a little to early for the rut to be kicking in, and the bucks would just move the does out not really looking for a fight. I ended up painting the one side of the decoy to look like a doe, and that worked pretty well actually. I hope that is helpful. If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know!

There is a WMA on the unit past the deseret land. I do not usually go in there during the early hunts because it tends to get hit fairly hard. I have shot some does out there on the December hunt though. If I am not seeing anything around otter creek or little creek, I'll head up to around Bear Lake. I have had decent success up there as well. As far as advice goes, I'd say get on any road that looks like most people don't want to go down. Also take you time to look down little draws and canyons that you can't quite see into from the road. I got my friend a decent buck right off of a heavily traveled road because we simply took a 50 yard walk and looked into a draw. He had no idea we were there and had not been pushed by the other hunters.

So the first thing about this unit is that it is not what it used to be. They have issued so many tags out there over the last few years that it can be tough to find herds of antelope. That being said, the bucks are usually not a problem to find. Up otter creek road outside of randolph can be a good spot. That is usually where I go first. There are a lot of roads that are nastier than the main one that goes deeper into the unit. Those less traveled roads are much much better. There are some water holes off the main roads that you can sit on as well as water troughs for cattle. As you are coming into town out of woodruff I believe, on the left hand side, there are some houses and open fields. There is a tiny fence that you can access that will take you back behind the houses and back onto public land. I have gotten into a bunch back there. Mostly because I don't think people notice that you can access it. It's hard to see, so keep a close eye out.

Thanks for the offer to help! I appreciate it! I have driven trough the unit but I am not very familiar with it. I am no stranger to antelope hunting. I just want to make sure I am as well informed as possible going into the draws.
