Fished Straberry yesturday afternoon on the Soldier Creek Side. The wind was blowing pretty good when I first got there, and there were storm clouds overhead. But, that soon cleared out and I started to fish. Trolled Kokanee Killers, tube jigs w/minnows, LC pointer, and RMT squids and dodgers. Had one bite and got one kokanee in the entire time. It was really slow fishing. I read some good reports from over there, but apparently I was doing something wrong. Can anybody give me some advice? I was trolling the RMT stuff 35-40 feet down going a very slow speed. On the bright side, I got a bunch of crawdads with my trap. Decided that those things are almost not woth the work for the amount of meat that you get out of them.
