Default First Night-bowfishing experience

I took my brother-in-law out for his first bowfishing outing, and my first time doing it at night. We used a headlamp and a flashlight; one of us would have the bow and the headlamp, the other would search and point out fish with the flashlight. We only ended up with one, but it was dang fun and I believe I got my bro-in-law interested enough to buy his own bow and come with me a lot more!
To any of you who haven't tried bowfishing yet, I would highly recommend getting some equipment and doing so. IT'S A BLAST! And doing it at night seemed to add some extra mystique

Outdoorser, Welcome to another addiction! Bowfishing at night can be a super experience. The fish tend to be less apt to spook and some of the critters you get to see are pretty cool also. Earlier this spring, my boy and i motored up to near spitting distance to nine Sandhill Cranes. The same night we also had a HUGE Beaver bump the bottom of the boat. Turned out the shallow water was just a bit too shallow for it to fit under cleanly. can you say ... THHONK!!!
