Default Need strap vest recommendations....

My old Browning strap vest finally bit the dust after 6 well used seasons. So I'm in the market for a new one. I'd rather not spend a ton of money, but I know that, that usually means quality.

Basic requirements for me...

Padded shoulder straps
HUGE game pocket

Any body have any recommendations??

Probably the BEST vest on the market, especially with a HUGE game pocket:
Just becasue it is, doesn't mean it should be.

+1 on the wingworks vest. Not cheap however...

Kevin, I've got a Pella strap vest I'll sell ya for CHEAP! Hardly been used. It has a padded shoulder strap, (not available on the wingworks) OK sized bag, waist strap, breast strap, and lots of pockets. 50 bucks and it's yours. (60% off retail) The only thing I didn't like about this vest was the padded shoulder straps...

Check out the LL bean strap vest. I just bought one, Only used it once so I still have some testing to do. I have never seen a Wingworks up close so I can't compare the size of game bags. , but I hear the WW vest are the bees knees. The LL bean is $69. So if you really wanna save money, it might be an option for ya. There is a Waxed cotton version and a ripstop nylon version. If I could afford it, I would have got the WW.
