I know most guys boil the skull or use flesh eating beetles to get all the flesh off the skull. I was wondering if anybody has ever tried crickets to eat the flesh off the skull? I know crickets will eat just about anything but I have never heard of them being used for a euro mount. Any info would be appreciated. Also, are there any other good methods besides boiling, burying, or beetles? Thanks!
Dermisted beetles are the ones that really go to work on flesh.
Another method is called maceration. It's by far the stinkiest method but probably the best behind dermisted beetles. Google "maceration" to learn more...
Here's a couple I macerated.
